Candidates behave differently when a bot is watching.
Interview notes generated on your Mac, with nothing joining the call and no candidate audio leaving the machine.
A recording bot in an interview does two things at once: it makes a nervous candidate more nervous, and it puts personal data about someone who has not agreed to your vendor list onto a third party's servers. Both are avoidable.
Nothing joins the interview
The candidate sees a normal call. You still get a full transcript with each side on its own channel, so quotes are attributed correctly.
Notes built for hiring decisions
The interview template keeps experience and skills, motivation, strengths and concerns, compensation discussed, the candidate's own questions, and agreed follow-ups — attributed to candidate or interviewer.
Candidate data does not spread
Recordings and notes are ordinary files on your Mac that you can delete when your retention period ends. There is no vendor copy to chase, and no processor to add to your privacy notice.
Tell candidates you are recording, and keep to your local employment and data-protection rules. Cachalot does not collect candidate data itself, but the obligations around what you record remain yours.
